Laser Dentistry

Laser dentistry is one of the most exciting areas of modern dentistry. Lasers may be used on soft tissues to reshape healthy gum tissues, remove diseased gum tissue, decontaminate the bacteria from pockets associated with gum disease, and treat mouth sores. They can also quickly and painlessly correct structural abnormalities such as lip and tongue ties. The benefits of laser dentistry include:

  • Very precise and tissue friendly

  • Gentle, quiet and virtually painless

  • Minimal bleeding and swelling

  • The healing process is very rapid

  • Risk of infection is nearly nonexistent because of the thorough decontamination by laser/

Laser Cleaning

With all of the new research linking the health of the gums to overall health issues such as heart disease, diabetes, and dementia, it has never been more important to maintain a healthy mouth. Our doctors and hygienists have been trained in all aspects of the oral-systemic connections and will teach you about the new information and techniques to improve your dental health. We are one of the first dental practices in the region to test for the bacteria that causes gum infections and we will create a personalized plan to help you prevent gum infections and improve your overall health.

Laser Gum Surgery

If you have a more advanced form of gum disease, laser gum surgery is an extremely effective approach that results in rapid healing and minimal discomfort. Because the laser disinfects the surgical site so thoroughly, healing is rapid and infections extremely rare. There are no sutures because the laser seals treated areas immediately. By replacing the scalpel with the laser, the results have never been easier, cleaner, quicker and more effective.

Cosmetic Laser Treatments

Lasers can be used to improve the appearance of the teeth and prominent tissue can be re-contoured and shaped. Teeth that appear very "short" can be lengthened.

Tongue Ties

Two of the more dramatic and impactful uses for the laser include the reduction of lip and tongue ties. This can be seen as early as infancy and result in significant eating and speaking issues. Read more about this remarkable procedures here HERE>>>
