When over 90% of dental offices closed during the initial phase of the pandemic, we were there 6 days a week alleviating suffering for countless people. When it comes to patient safety, we have a plan in place that far exceeds CDC, American Dental Association, and State standards. It involves a comprehensive 7 point plan.
1. PATIENT SCREENING
Each patient will be asked some standard Covid19 questions at each appointment. You will be called from your car to the appointment. Your temperature will be taken. Hand sanitizer and a mouth rinse will be made available. We are providing a paperless registration process.
2. AIR FILTRATION
We have deployed the most advanced medical-grade air filtration system available. It is called medical HEPA. Most standard air filtration is .3 microns. That is not sufficient for viruses. Our system filters to .003 microns which includes viruses. We have also added individual smaller filtration units for each dental hygienist.
We have upgraded to a closed-loop, advanced water filtration, and disinfection system. It utilizes an advanced oxidation process that utilizes oxygen to produce water that is sterile, antimicrobial, and most importantly, all-natural. There are no chemicals used.
4. AEROSOL CONTAINMENT
The aerosols created by various dental instruments has received a considerable amount of publicity during the pandemic. We are utilizing a vacuum device called PURE-VAC that removes up to 95% of aerosols at the point of care.
We are utilizing the most effective disinfection and sanitizing strategies utilizing a misting device with electrolyzed water hypoclorus acid (HOCL). This solution is a powerful oxidant and is also an all-natural nonchemical approach to disinfection. We use it continuously throughout the day.
Our Jessamine crew models the newest version of PPE that includes surgical masks, face shields, surgical caps, and surgical gowns.
7. OZONE GAS
Our facility receives a weekly overnight activated oxygen (ozone) disinfection. This shock treatment will Deodorize, Disinfect, and Destroy biological and chemical pollutants indoors
